I haven’t written Charley a tune in a while. I didn’t set out to write a tune for him with this waltz, but when I played the B part, I had the distinct picture and sensation of waltzing with Charley. Perhaps the long notes at the top of the B reminded me of Evergreen, a waltz by Keith Murphy which was our wedding waltz. In any case, unable to shake the association with Charley, I went ahead and named the tune for him.
